Now Opening 10 Additional Spots
A community-based “music gym” for adults who want consistency, depth, and momentum — not just another lesson.
The Shift...
After running a music school for nearly 20 years, I stepped away and asked a simple question:
Why is it so hard for adults to practice consistently — even when they love music?
Private lessons are valuable.
But 30-60 minutes of private lessons every week or two isn’t enough to build real momentum.
You don’t get physically fit working out once every fourteen days.
Music works the same way.
So I built something different.
What it is:
Imagine Music Lab is a live, community-based music education and practice space.
4–5 sessions per week.
Multiple skill levels.
Reading, jazz, classical repertoire, ear training, technique, improvisation, musicianship, songwriting, production.
Minimal lecturing.
Maximum participation.
You show up.
You play.
You build consistency.
It’s less like a traditional lesson and more like a musical workout.
What's Happening Inside
The first round launched quietly with 10 members.
Here’s what they’re saying:
“The consistency makes a huge difference.”
“Learning alongside other musicians makes everything stick.”
“Playing with other people has improved my confidence and playing ability.”
“These past two months have finally started to bridge jazz and classical.”
“It’s the kind of learning that actually carries over.”
One member described it best:
“It offered a way to naturally funnel in more practice during the week — without making it a triumph of will.”
That’s the heart of it.
Who It's For
This is a strong fit if you:
-
Are an adult musician who wants long-term growth
-
Value consistency over quick wins
-
Want to deepen your understanding of how music works
-
Enjoy learning alongside others
-
Have a busy schedule but still care about improving
It’s not designed for:
-
Learning a single piece for a specific event
-
Short-term coaching toward one outcome
-
Passive, lecture-style learning
 The Invitation
I'm intentionally growing this slowly.
I’m opening 10 additional spots for the next round while continuing to refine the format.
If you’re curious, the next step is simple:
Take the short assessment.
I personally review each response before inviting new members in.
No pressure. Just clarity.
